If you want to know more about me you can go to this website http://instructional1.calstatela.edu/lkamhis/tesl565_sp11/corrie_walker/index.htm and click on “About the Builders: Carolyn.” I created this website for a class I took in graduate school on “Using Computers in the Language Classroom.” I have an undergraduate degree in History and Latin American Studies, a law degree and a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have been teaching English to adult immigrants in Los Angeles for the past ten years. Most of my students are from Mexico and Central America, while a few are from Asia and Africa . I usually teach the beginning level students. It’s very exciting for me to be able to teach students with an advanced level of English here at Instituto Txindoki.
For a long time, I have wanted to live and work abroad. Although I have traveled a lot in Latin America, and lived for four months in Costa Rica as a univeristy student, I have only been to Europe for brief visits and have never been to the Basque Country. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about your history, culture, language, and educational system, a knowledge which I can share with my friends and colleagues when I return to the United States .
My husband Robert and daughter Lucy are here with me this year. We live in Donosti-San Sebastian and I take the train to Beasain everyday.
Please come talk to me. I am happy to try to answer any questions you have about me or the United States .
